Poignant Track Dedicate to Pet Loss Launches on 4th Annual Pet Remembrance Day

A popular country rock recording artist is releasing a new track dedicated to the pain of pet loss – just in time for Pet Remembrance Day (5th July); a special day of remembrance that has commemorated beloved companion animals since 2015.

John Scargall, who has breakthrough tunes on SoundCloud, Amazon and Apple Music, wrote about the pain of losing his beloved dog Tobey just three days before he got married in the track ‘Send My Fur Angel’.

On Pet Remembrance Day on Friday 5th July, people across the UK will remember beloved companion animals that have died. The commemorative day, launched by 3D pet sculpture specialists Arty Lobster in 2015, provides an opportunity for people to celebrate the lives of pets and the increasing number of ways in which we can celebrate their lives.

“Send My Fur Angel” was part of the grieving process, and it was the hardest song I’ve ever written, with literal tears smudging the ink on the page as I wrote.

John Scargall says: “Grieving the loss of a pet is like losing a close family member. When Tobey passed, my wife and I were devastated. Creating the song “Send My Fur Angel” was part of the grieving process, and it was the hardest song I’ve ever written, with literal tears smudging the ink on the page as I wrote. I’m just glad that we can honor Tobey and all of our fur angels with this song, because they truly are family forever.”

To celebrate the day, pet lovers can nominate pets on social media using the hashtag #PetRemembranceDay to be immortalised in 3D by Arty Lobster. One will be chosen to have their likeness fashioned into a bespoke pet sculpture.

Lars B. Andersen, Founder and CEO of Arty Lobster (https://artylobster.com), said: “Losing a pet is a sad and difficult time for any pet owner. Many people now see their beloved pets, quite rightly, as integral members of their families.

“In our giveaway for Pet Remembrance Day, we’re offering pet owners the chance to have their animals immortalised in 3D. The sculptures can be used as memorials to a pet, which many people will treasure.”

A Twitter chat will also take place on 5th July using the hashtag #PetRemembranceDay for people to show their support and share thoughts and photos of deceased companion animals.
