Each variety has consistent feed values which include low protein, low sugar and high fibre. Haylage is made in a similar way to hay, but only allowed to semi-wilt and not dry completely to ensure it is dust free and highly palatable. 

Silvermoor Haylage comes in four specialised varieties – Active, Recreation, Timothy, Lite and Veteran. Silvermoor Active has a high protein level and is designed for performance horses; Recreation is suitable for all at all levels of performance; Timothy has a low sugar and protein content making it an ideal choice for fussy eaters, native ponies and horses suffering from laminitis. Silvermoor Lite is a low sugar and low protein ryegrass haylage which is also suitable forhorses with laminitis, and those at rest, and Silvermoor Veteran, which is a short chopped rye grass haylage which can be easily chewed by horses with poor teeth.
