Teaming up with TV and radio star Mollie King and her cute Toy Poodle, Alfie, Ring introduces ‘Treataway’ – a new service delivering gourmet, dog-friendly versions of popular takeaway dishes. Now, dogs across the UK can savour delicious meals inspired by their owners’ favourites while enjoying a cosy night in.
Treataway provides delicious and nutritious versions of popular takeaway dishes such as sushi, curry, and pizza, all crafted to be 100% dog-friendly. These gourmet meals are delivered straight to pet owners’ doors just before they head out, allowing furry friends to enjoy a special treat in their absence.
This limited-edition service comes in response to recent research conducted by Ring, revealing that 89% of UK dog owners feel guilty or anxious about leaving their dogs alone. Moreover, 38% of these owners believe they shouldn’t enjoy themselves if their dog isn’t having fun. To mitigate their pets’ anxiety, more than half of the owners (61%) rely on treats, 50% provide toys, and 41% leave the TV on to create a sense of company.
Ring, with the help of Alfie King, curated the ‘Treataway’ menu, offering the first taste test to the 12-year-old Toy Poodle. His favourites were the salmon sushi and meat-feast pizza.
Mollie King shared her thoughts on the new service: “Whenever I’m out and about, I love using Ring’s Indoor Camera to see what Alfie gets up to. We all need a night to ourselves once in a while, so it’s so nice to get to see Alfie enjoying some chill time, whilst still being able to check in on my boy when I’m missing him! With Ring’s limited edition Treataway service, I love that I can give him the perfect night at home to enjoy a takeaway and a bit of relaxation on his own – something that dogs across the UK are set to enjoy this weekend. Turns out Alfie loves a takeaway just as much as I do!”
The meals are crafted to appeal to even the fussiest of canine palates. Inspired by the UK’s most beloved takeaways, the drool-worthy selection of sushi, curry, or pizza is suitable for dogs of all sizes. Each meal is paired with curated sides and drinks, including no-onion bhajis, steamed dumplings, ramen bone broth, garlic-less bread, chicken broth ‘wine’, and a mango lassi. Additionally, the package includes a rope toy to stave off boredom, paw balm for a little pampering, and a guide to dog-friendly programmes available on Fire TV.
Treataway meals are made with 100% dog-friendly ingredients, featuring single-ingredient quality meats and organic, high-fibre whole foods packed with vitamins and minerals for dogs’ overall wellbeing.
Pre-orders are now open, with deliveries scheduled for Friday 14th and Saturday 15th June. Pet owners in London, Manchester, Birmingham, and Glasgow can enjoy peace of mind knowing that their dogs will have a delightful and engaging night in, with meals ready to be devoured as soon as they arrive. Further insights from Ring’s research revealed that 73% of dog owners wish to keep an eye on their pets while they’re out. To support this, each Treataway comes with an exclusive 15% off voucher for the Ring Indoor Camera, enabling pet owners to monitor their pets from afar using the Ring app.
Dave Ward, Managing Director EU & International at Ring, commented: “We believe that pets are important family members and deserve to enjoy a night in, just like their humans! We designed our Indoor Camera to keep you close to what’s important, even when you’ve popped out. With a quick glance at the Ring app, you can have peace of mind knowing your pup is having a great night with a dog-friendly takeaway in front of the TV.”
The Ring Indoor Camera features Two Way Talk, 1080p HD video, and Colour Night Vision to help keep an eye on dogs at night. Plus, with the Ring Protect Plan, users can download, save, and rewatch footage for up to 180 days, capturing all those adorable moments.
