Forget Roses: This Valentine’s is All About Rosy Snouts and Piggy Cuddles

Love might traditionally mean flowers, chocolates and candlelit dinners – but for couples looking for something a little more memorable this Valentine’s Day, Kew Little Pigs has come up with an irresistibly cute alternative that’s absolutely snout-standing.

From 13 to 15 February, the award-winning Buckinghamshire farm is inviting loved-up visitors to swap restaurants for rural romance, with a Valentine’s weekend that centres around cuddling some of the UK’s most adorable miniature pigs. Because nothing says “I love you” quite like a synchronised snuggle with a snuffling piglet.

Billed as Valentine’s at Kew Little Pigs Farm, the experience offers couples a two-hour piggy pet and play session, complete with plenty of Valentine’s-themed photo opportunities. Think less red roses, more rosy snouts – and Instagram gold, naturally.

Guests are encouraged to bring their Valentine, or Galentine, and celebrate the weekend surrounded by snuffling snouts, curly tails and plenty of piggy affection. The farm says the event is about slowing down, sharing something joyful together and supporting the ongoing care of its much-loved pigs.

Owner Olivia Mikhail says the idea might sound quirky, but it’s become a surprisingly popular way to celebrate love.

“Spending Valentine’s with pigs really isn’t as unusual as people think,” she said. “Our pigs are incredibly social, gentle and affectionate, and people instantly relax around them. We’ve had couples come here for anniversaries, first dates, and we’ve even had pigs attend weddings. Love comes in all forms, and our pigs seem to bring out the very best of it.”

Olivia also emphasised that the event reflects the farm’s strong ethical values. “Everything we do at Kew Little Pigs is rooted in welfare, education and respect for the animals. These experiences directly support the pigs’ care and help us continue our work showing people just how intelligent, sensitive and loving pigs really are.”

For those looking to take romance one step further, the farm is also open to helping visitors stage the ultimate pig-assisted proposal. Anyone planning a romantic surprise can contact the team at events@kewlittlepigs.com, where staff are happy to help tailor the moment and make it unforgettable.
